Now you can dispose of unwanted paint!

Now you can dispose of unwanted paint and packaging responsibly at the upcoming Paintback collection event organised by Crowies Paints Kingaroy.

Paintback® is taking unwanted paint and packaging’s colourful past to a brighter future of responsible disposal and innovative reuse. Paintback®, established in 2016, is a world-first, industry-led initiative designed to divert unwanted paint and packaging from ending up in landfill and vital waterways.

Saturday 22nd June, 7am to 4pm

Kingaroy Showgrounds (enter on Youngman Street)

Paintback is the way to:

  • Responsibly deal with waste paint after painting.
  • Declutter your storage space of old paint containers.
  • Recycle and reduce waste going to landfill.
  • Avoid landfill fees that may apply to waste paint. Along with disposing of waste paint responsibly, Paintback is committed to researching new ways to repurpose unwanted paint materials.

Paintback accepts up to 100 litres per visit, secured in containers of 20 litres or less. For more information on what you can dispose of, visit

Business Owner - Crowies Paints Kingaroy

My wife Gail and I purchased the paint store in Feb 2018 and started the first Crowies Paints franchise in Queensland. Crowies Paints is a South Australian based paint store chain with 18 stores throughout SA, NSW, VIC and Qld. I did my Painter and Decorator apprenticeship with my father when I left school and have stayed in the industry since. I've been in paint sales for many years and worked for the Crowies Paints group as a General Manager before moving to Kingaroy. Our main focus in the store is to provide good service at a competitive price. We sell all your painting requirements for home decorating, automotive and industrial.
